Why would you need a carpet washer
Day to day vacuuming of your carpets is fine to remove surface dirt and dust but it’s the deeper dirt that your vacuum will not reach. This deep greasy dirt is what is responsible for making your carpet flat and worn out looking. You may think that you need to replace it but applying the use of a carpet washer could bring your carpet back to life and have it looking new again.

A key benefit of using a carpet washer is that it will make your carpet last far longer that it would otherwise. Other benefits include a brighter, fresher look for your carpet, removal of stains and bad smells as well as the removal of allergy triggers such as pollen, pet hair, dust etc

So what does a carpet washer actually do
They expel a mix of cleaning solutions and water through the brushes deep into the carpet fibres to break down embedded dirt, grease and debris, removing not just the dirt but smells and even germs.

Various attachments let you reach difficult areas such as stairs, corners etc and oter attachments allow you to wash your car interior or curtains etc

Key Features and specifications to check out

The size of the tank
Based on the areas you want to clean you can work out what size of tank you will need. A 2Litre tank would be big enough to clean a 10meter by 12 meter room before you would need to change the water

The Rotating brushes
Rotating brush bars drive deep in to carpet fibres to break down hard to reach compacted dirt and grime. The rotation leaves behind and almost groomed effect on the carpet bringing fibres back to life and making the carpet look fresh and new. Look for models which specify rotating brushes.

Power Jet technology
The carpet washers will jet out water along with cleaning solutions. The greater power at which the water is expelled the more thorough the clean will.
